Greetings Boils and Ghouls-
Here at Richardson Studio things are moving very fast. Summer is here and time flies when you're having fun, right? I've been creating like a mad man and the projects just keep coming. It's a great feeling to be so productive with art. I figured it's about time to update my journal and let you all know whats going on. First, my sculpture "BoneSnail" recently received a Daily Deviation! I want to thank DeviantArt and all the fans of the sculpt who took the time to view and comment on it. I love that we have all these platforms to share our work with the world. Art never dies and true lovers and diehard fans are amazing to me. Thanks!
I know many people are waiting to see my next collaboration with legendary artist/director/author Clive Barker. Well, the wait is almost over. I have embarked on sculpting Clive's illistration "V for Vise Versa"! The piece is near completion and will be cast in aluminum as a wall relief. It'll be available for the public, in a numbered edition, through "The Official Clive Barker Store" late August. Also, we're already talking and working out the details for another sculpt so do stay tune! Collaborating with Clive is a dream come true and I know fans of his work will be very happy with the sculpts.
I'm working on a commission with painters Brian Viveros and Dan Quintana. A very special project for the end of the year at Copro Gallery in Santa Monica, CA. This sculpt is absolutely a stunner!! I have been asked to keep it "hush hush" until we are closer to the end of the year and completion of the project. Believe me when I say "Big Mamma is very beautiful". I can't wait to get here out into the world.
Last Rites Gallery in NYC has invited me to participate in "The 13th Hour" exhibition this October!!! When I read the email asking me if I'd want to be involved I about feel over. No joke, I was absolutely floored. To show at Paul Booth's gallery is a great honor and accomplishment in the art world. Also, I will be attending the show with my father and brother. My first time in NYC and I'm VERY excited for this trip! For the show I'm creating a series of distorted baby heads to be cast in stainless steel. Each one will be unique and original. It's been a strange couple months sculpting and carving on sweet little baby heads. I keep waiting for their expressions to change and begin to cry but they're very obedient works of art
Anyway, I've made a quick YouTube video showing the process I go through to create one of these little monsters. View it here and enjoy!

Well having said this, back to the studio I go. Thanks to all my watchers and lovers of my craft. Cheers
